"I always like to try new things and play with different sounds," says Carrie Underwood in our exclusive Footnotes interview. "We were able to do that with this album." The country superstar is referencing her latest release, the very impressive 'Denim & Rhinestones.' It's the home of "Ghost Story," the video for which was directed by her longtime associate Randee St. Nicholas, who's been working with Carrie since the "Blown Away" video. I’m so upset this album isn’t doing as well as I’d hope. People keep saying she isn’t country but she never claimed this was a country album. She said it’s a nostalgic album.
