That's exactly how my girl Miriam was when I took her in. There were 3 other dogs in my pack. But, she just wouldn't come near me. It took me a good 2 months to get her to eat from my hand or to sit with the rest of the pack near me in the living room. But the day she did, that was it. That was 9 years ago and she's velcro now! For a good 2 years after joining us, she had nightmares. Then, they went away. Love, peace and a lot of patience really does heal everything.

She is part golden lab. I have a golden lab and he is the sweetest thing ever. When I look into his eyes I think of all the dogs that are abused and I wonder “how can anyone mistreat them”. They are full of love and loyalty. Thank you for giving love to this puppy.
