An annual authorization vote on Social Security funding. How exciting! Everyone receiving monthly benefit payments can go through the same thrills that federal workers go through multiple times a year. Balancing the budget on the backs of the retired. The new political landscape.

How sad that the social Security is having issues I worked hard all my life for me to be able to get good benefits at my retirement age, now the money I am getting is not enough to pay all the bills but I am not allowed to work full time anymore to pay all my bills The government should check on people who are younger so the can pay their fair share just like we did

Here's to hoping. I've been on SSI ever since I couldn't work due to medical things. Does this count for state payments, too? I'm currently getting paid off by our state, Wisconsin.
