Come with me as we take a look at the wildly successful spin-off series Judgment. Sharing the same city and world as Yakuza, Judgment tries to create it's own spin on the classic Yakuza formula. Can Judgment hold up to the series we've seen so far? Let's find out.

How do you feel about Judgment Dad? 👨⚖️
-
The Tojo Clan actually felt like a threat in this game even though it was at its weakest at this point.
-
I missed karaoke as well but apparently the actor for yagami is a former boy band star in Japan and having him sing would have been really expensive
-
Judgment was actually how I first got into the Yakuza series, after learning it was a spin-off. This and lost judgment are still in my top 10 games ofa. It's amazing

1:14:46 Correction on this part it was Shono who removed the eyes the Mole was just taking care of the bodies he even himself says he finally understood why the eyes were missing

Judgment and Lost Judgment are the future of Brawler Yakuza games.

When you said there was an English dub my mind immediately went to "I don't need that" but when I heard Matt Mercer AND Cherami Leigh... That's some fucking talent.
-
Only Yakuza 0 beats this for me. I was gripped throughout the whole story and really took to the new characters. Plus, I was grateful to it for not spoiling the Yakuza games I hadn't played yet.

Great video! I feel like delving into the cultural significance of Takuya Kimura's influence on Judgment's development would've been great too. As one of Japan's most legendary idols, it was a huge selling point for many Asian countries to play as Kimura, previously a member of the incredibly-popular idol group SMAP. Kimura had an unprecedented streak of hit dramas in the 2000s, with HERO – a wildly popular drama series where he plays a quirky prosecutor known as Kohei Kuryu. A lot of Kuryu's qualities are seen in Yagami, and it can be said that Judgment is some sort of spiritual successor to the series as a whole. For many, it was a treat to be able to play a "Takuya Kimura drama", drawing in many fans who had never picked up a console for the first time.

I wish I had a funny pun today son. Being probably one of the few Iranian dads of you, things aren't very good these days. There's just too much. And still seeing this brightened my day. Thanks son. Who knows, maybe by next video, or next, or the one after that, I'd be back with a funny pun and wonderful news. Thanks again.

I really hope this series continues. The future of Judgement seems sort of in question.
-
Judgement is underrated.

30:30 I love that Scene: "So a Dead Body was in YOUR CLOSET? Please go, so we can find the Murder" High Praise for that Police i guess
-
As much as I love my Kiryu...the original Judgment is my no.1 Yakuza game of all time. Great vid.
-
Love Judgment but kinda wish there was a separate "challenge mode" wherein you have to start a chapter/case over if you fail when presenting evidence enough times, accusing witnesses, etc... something similar to LA Noire. Still, great game overall and definitely one of my favorites from RGG

Oh, now that the spin-offs and side projects are on the table, will we be seeing OurFavoriteSon cover The Fist of the North Star game?
-
I had to save this video until I finished the main story of Judgment. Now I need to start Lost Judgment asap to watch your next video when it comes out.

The Yakuza series is easily one of my favorite series. Fun combat with brutal finishers, stories that have a strong beating heart, an incredible cast with a legendary protagonist, and ABSOLUTELY incredible music. Judgment is a fantastic spin off in the same universe, with a lot of their same great elements but through a different lens and with a protagonist and cast that hold their own under a considerably high bar. Greta review as always son.

Yes!! Finally a review of my favorite series of the Yakuza games!! You made your dad proud, son!!!

Oh man, you really got that "Million subscribers in no time" feel, it's basically just a matter of effort and time till then! Loved Judgement btw
