Africa in the Bible: White Man's Religion? (Part 2) | A Day of Discovery Legacy Series

Published 2021-02-14
For centuries, an ancient curse was used to support the terrible evils of slavery. It’s a curse that appears in one isolated verse in the Bible. Even today, this misunderstood curse still lingers with us as a legacy of shame. Fortunately, through tracing history and honest examination, researchers have exposed the lie of a cursed race.

Another concern for African descendants is that Christianity is a white man’s religion, and that they should be looking elsewhere for faith. You may be surprised what a journey back before the days of slavery reveals about the faith of the African forefathers. In fact, it goes back to the very first followers of Jesus.

Many people who are descendants of slaves have returned to the continent of Africa in search of their historical and spiritual roots. But most aren’t aware of a long lost Christian heritage and identity in Africa and in the Bible. Until now.

Africa and the Bible seeks to expose the myths and bring light to some of the questions we ask. You’ll discover the spiritual heritage and identity of people of African descent through this 3-part program from Day of Discovery.

The journey includes:
Part 1: The Myth of a Cursed Race —    • Africa in the Bible: The Myth of a Cu...
Part 2: White Man’s Religion? —    • Africa in the Bible: White Man's Reli... …
Part 3: The River of Faith —    • Africa in the Bible: The River Of Fai...

I was so low this year of 2021, just days before 2022 and no ambition in my spirit to see or thank God for another year. Then I watched this 2 part series and it's like something hit me like a bolt of lightning. I have new joy and peace and I'm ready to move forward in a bright and blessed way. Look out 2022.
  • I've always thought, that what truly plagues Africa is the lack of knowledge of our once powerful peoples. In my country's school, the focus is our more recent history of struggling and achieving indipendence. There's little focus on the incredible early African civilizations. Ones which could teach us a lot about the confidence and ingenuity with which they conducted and governed their civilizations. We as Africans should also play a proactive role in discovering and teaching our kids, this incredible heritage. To help give them a sense of pride that they can do great things as well, and contribute to this world just as our early ancestors did.
  • I just want to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Catherine Kroeger for allowing herself to be used by Our great and mighty savior to learn and pass on such knowledge for our generation, thank you madam, your so humble
  • History has been interpreted & twisted in so many ways Thank you for being a light in darkness
  • It’s amazing how when one position themselves to learn physical facts about ourselves and our place in human history God takes us a step further to reveal in us divine revelation and this does wonders to develop and grow our relationship with the Father. The more we know about ourselves and see ourselves in Holy Scripture the more we can appreciate and take pride in who we are as children of the Most High God, His chosen.
  • Praise God for revealing truths to us as the body of Christ and men and women of color. God is faithful.

Came across this channel last night, not by accident but by God's divine direction and it is amazing how much is there to learn, but more importantly how much we have to teach, the ones who look to us, our kids.

African Christianity, for example that of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and the former Ethiopian Royal families linage from King Solomon, is unknown knowledge to most Blacks in America. That’s why the uneducated will say Christianity is a white mans religion. Many of you American Blacks don’t know that you are actually Jewish. ❤️ Love from Jamaica 🇯🇲
