Poll: Aside from Silver Springs, what is your pick for the most "unheralded song" from the 1970's?

Stevie didn't sing TO Lindsey, she sang AT Lindsey.

That video clip of Stevie singing directly to Lindsey still gives me chills every time I see it! šŸ’œšŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļøšŸ’œ

Who else wishes they could see that moment Stevie and Lindsey sang 'California Dreaming' in high school?

Hard not to tear up. So powerful. Side story. When Stevie signed her song writing credits over to the band, she refused to give this song up. Instead, she gifted the rights to her mother.

Silver Springs is truly the most beautiful Fleetwood Mac song ever written. It is the most beautiful song that Stevie Nicks ever wrote, as a member of FWM, and as a solo artist. Silver Springs is my favorite song of theirs and also Stevie Nicks.

Stevie and Lindseyā€™s dynamic is very twin flame energy. Itā€™s an amazing thing to witness.
  • The way Christine just starred at Stevie that day in 1997 just to make sure she was okay!! Ugh she was truly such a great woman.

Canā€™t believe I felt the pain from Stevie as she was sending it home to Lindsey, it actually made my eyes well up with tears during the live silver spring rendition. šŸ˜¢šŸ˜¢

This is one of my favorite songs. I remember watching The Dance on tv. Even as an 11 year old, I could feel the love/hate between Stevie and Lindsey. I feel like that was Stevieā€™s chance to say everything to him, in that moment, that she was never able to say before. What a gorgeous, heartfelt, grief-stricken, angry song this is. I absolutely love it.

Stevie is the greatest female vocal of all time. I was in Jr. High school when i first heard her voice. She has been my favorite ever since. That was in 1978.

Fierce! What woman doesnt fantasize about this scenario?! And at 1 point it looks like Lindsey either stumbled over the words, or just couldnt speak for that moment. Priceless

The chorus of the three singing together is so great on this song

It must be such a strange feeling knowing someone out there in the world you share so much history and memories with has become a complete stranger

The song has finally had made it to the Rumours album in where it belonged in the first place. I'm not faulting anyone here just giving the true fact!!!

The artistry was that Stevie, of a lower range, sang the part of the soprano melody, and Christine harmonized with the Soprano range because, lets admit it. She could carry both "Perfect"ly. Spiritually, that's no irony either. Christine was pitch perfect, she hears the notes between the notes. Lindsey had to be the glue between the two ranges without going flat. Fleetwood Mac could sell any song with a flat line. Watch all three communicate with their eyes in this performance, the camera picks it up well. It's incredible

My daughter discovered this song recently and I had never mentioned how much I love Fleetwood Mac and Stevie. It will always be around for every generation to hear and love. Such a great song and Stevie is just an amazing artist with a very distinct voice. ā™„ļø
