  • This is a magnificent translation! The song is done in 3 languages, but if you include the Jamaican patios at the beginning, then, you have 4 languages. I understand all 4 languages, so, the translator has to understand all 4 languages to be able to convey the ideas so well. The chorus actually says: “Young lady, give me your thing.” I guess, it is not musical to translate it that way. So, instead of, “Young lady, give me your thing,” it became, “Young lady, give it to me.”
