  • Fantastic vid, I really enjoyed the gentle pace and info 👍
  • Uplifting scenary precious memories👍Feature rich wild country. I think many people new to using tents in difficult conditions are keen to learn tent craft and even if bit more experienced and they've already developed that practice a keen eye about how others go about it is often present. Thanks for posting.
  • After years of hesitating due to the price I did finally buy an Akto and I love it. I also have the same little Sony radio as you have - kept me and my small dog company on our cycle LeJog 2021. In fact, thinking about it, I’ve had a little transistor radio about the place since growing up in the 60s! Enjoying your films, Wales is so beautiful. 👍🏻🙂
  • My apologies for the shaky camera. I was using a GoPro initially but changed to my iPhone when the rain subsided. The GoPro Hero 4 doesn’t have OIS and you can tell. It’s ok for static shots but not any movement. Lessons learnt 👍🏻

greatly enjoyed, and confirmed my tent choice after a lot of searching. thanks, please keep this up if you can, you are my favourite by far.
  • Love the videos, always great content and kept me sane through lockdown, only a just over a week until the Welsh Mountains re-open. Can't wait, keep up the great work with the videos.......

Oh look, my daily old suggested video from the wild camping Welshman. YouTube loves you.
  • Really enjoyed your video and i would imagine it has inspired others to have a bash at wild camping themselves .... Loved the music at the beginning!

I laughed when you reached your pack out at about 9.50min, It looked bigger than the tent. I have a very similar cookset to yours, MSR Titan alongside a Toaks 550, paired up with a few Vargo Titanium options. One is the Vargo Hexagon stove, which I stand a Titanium Trangia Burner in. Also a Vargo Triad, which will burn Hexamine and meths, apart from the Woodstove, these nest together inside the 550 pot. I have tried most combos over the years, this seems to work. Thanks for posting, looks like a fantastic spot, love the area. Brings back fond memories, been a while since I did Tryfan and the Glyders, Bristly Ridge etc, can't wait to get back up there. All the best Wayne

I consider my Thermarest XTherm inflatable air mattress an heirloom & something I'll include in my Will to a relative. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

A great overnighter. Some nice kit. Weather not so good but tbh I do prefer rain to sunny days. Thanks for sharing all the best Si
  • Lovely video and some good tips there too. You picked a nice discreet spot there, lovely views down the Nant Ffrancon pass. Looks like you drive the same route as I do to get to Snowdonia, atb Joss
