In 2008, my 21 yr old daughter Olivia passed away. " Praise You In This Storm" became my song, my hope and my desire. God gave me the strength, but he definitely used this song. Still to this day I hold on to all of God's promises, knowing that HE has and will always be with me, in front of(leading) me, beside me( walking along side encouraging me)and be behind me(lovingly pushing me) me all the days of my life. Thank you Lord and Casting Crowns.

Jesus Christ found me at the bottom of a bottle on the night I was planning my suicide. Lost and without hope, I shouted to the heavens, blaming a God I didn’t know for a pain I couldn’t explain. Then I began to hear strange voices in my head, telling me things I did not understand. Convinced I was going mad, my anger accelerated, my shouts louder. Until finally the voice said so clear and strong : “if you don’t believe me, look it up for yourself!” That’s when I saw that dusty old King James Bible on the nightstand. When was the last time I even touched it, I couldn’t remember. It was a graduation gift from godly grandparents. But I walked over to that nightstand, trembling and uncertain, I picked up that dusty book, and opened it. My eyes drifted across the page and seeming at total randomness, rested upon this verse: “Fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee, yea I will help thee. Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” That was 23 years ago. My life is far from perfect; I still struggle against sin every day. The only difference is now I know Him who is always by my side; the One who has promised never to leave me, never to forsake me. And I have peace.

What ever you are going through Jesus went through it first He paid it all for us Jesus I pray for those who are suffering give them peace that can not find the words to discribe
