As someone who grew up with the McDonald's icecream and milkshakes makers. I can tell you that we NEVER used their directions 😆. We used the real stuff with it. It worked just fine. I gave my son the one I had when I was a kid and it is still going strong!! Buy the way all over these are still available on Amazon, etzy and even in other countries. You just have to know where to look!
