i hope that blonde kid who left his mama and is expected to bring balance to the force never falls to the dark side due to anger issues and some manipulative old man.
  • Will never forget downloading the original trailer on dial up, all day long, and then watching endlessly. This was the start of an entire new generation of kids that these movies were specifically made for.

I was 6 years old in 99' My Grandad died that year who was my best friend at the time. My Mum and Auntie took me to see this film called star wars. Had no real idea what it was about.... My Mum said it was a way for me to deal with the trauma of losing my grandad. My life changed for ever.... My love and excitement for star wars has never left me since being a young boy. I'm now 31 with a daughter whom I want to share these moments with. This film will always be a special film for me. ❤️

This is where the fun begins.

I was 36 years old when this trailer came out, and I watched it over and over again, tears streaming down my face, thinking I would never see another Star Wars movie, and here it was. I could not wait to see it. Continuing a tradition I started with Empire Strikes Back, I got tickets for the midnight showing at Destiny USA in Syracuse NY (then Carousel Center) and loved every minute of the movie. 25 years ago, hard to believe!

Pod racing is still awesome to witness, even after two and a half decades! Also the light saber duel between Darth Maul, Qui Gon Jin and Obi Wan Kenobi with John Williams' "Duel of the Fates" theme playing is still an epic experience!

Anyone else getting old realizing this movie came out 25 years ago?

It returns….. Time to enjoy it on IMAX!!!

I remember downloading this over 14.4kbps in 1998; learning what "Quicktime" was, and how to get such a "high fidelity" form of video to play back on Windows 95. Amazing work, @Star Wars. You successfully accessed core memories within me!

Star Wars fans watching the prequels after suffering through Disney Star Wars: “Maybe I was too hard on you…”

When this film first came out, I was a mountaineering instructor at an outdoor centre. I booked the day off for the movie, six months in advance and then saw it in a cinema that had a screen that was only just bigger than the TV I own these days. I thoroughly loved it then and now, when I saw it on a huge screen when it came back recently. This is a charming film and it brings me so many happy memories of a life I loved. 🖤🖤🖤
  • man , surely the fans will treat this film and its actors with as much respect and love as they deserve....

Younger peeps will never understand how pivotal of a moment this was. In pop culture history as well as in the history of the internet. There'll never be hype as intense as there was when this teaser was released, and it was one of the seminal moments where the internet came of age and heralded what was to come

I still remember standing in a line that wrapped around the theater to go watch this.

I was 10 when this trailer originally came out and I CRIED because it was brand new Star Wars. I couldn’t believe it and I saw the movie 6 times in theaters that summer. By far one of the BEST summers of my life!

I spent 18 hours downloading this trailer back when it first came out. It had been 16 years since Return of the Jedi. We thought we would never see another Star Wars movie. The first time seeing "Every saga has a beginning..." gave me goosebumps.

Episode 1, 2, and 3 holds the same special place in my heart as those who grew up with the Original Trilogy. Still a testament to the OG trilogy that few after has even come close to equating, let alone surpassed them.
