thank you for doing this. sure wish my home depot would carry this stuff. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
  • Checking in from 2020 thanks for this video. The HD foam works like a charm in my silicone pumpkin mold!
  • thats pretty awesome! Im going to invest in a bag or two of that and play with it. I have a bunch of ideas, maybe I'll put some of them up on youtube as well.

how did you do a headcast when you have a big beard? I want to make a headcast of my own head but i have a beard also. little less then what you have but its still long. How do I go about doing a headcast of my head without cutting my beard off?

Nice! Is that soft/flexible foam or hard like Great Stuff? I ask because, basically I'm trying to make what amounts to a Nerf football.. something that will hold up if you throw it repeatedly.. any suggestions??

I must've done something wrong bc when I checked the foam it was all spongy and sticky and not like it was supposed to be. Do you think I didn't mix the a and the b good enough?
  • Great video Allen. Do you think you could take the foam head and put a thin layer of resin on it to make a sculpting bust with? As always thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas!

couldn't the mask itself with the foam in be used for a detailed recast? instead of taking the foam out of the mask?
  • @Floreypottery
did you coat the mold with any sorta release agent I could see using Vaseline or oil in the chin where it like to stick

Thanks for another entertaining vid. If I may go off topic, have you ever done a video on corpsing with liquid latex and cotton? I'm giving it a try on a mummified arm and like the effect, but could always use tips and advice. Heres wishing you and the family a great holiday weekend.

How about using it to make an average to small torso with it?

Oh thank goodness this is possible. The representative on the phone from Smooth On was trying to get me to buy 13 GALLONS OF THEIR FLEX FOAM AT $200 EACH to fill a lifecast full body mold (up to the neck gonna do my head separately) I’ll still be getting my silicone from them since their skin safe stuff is good and I only need 2-3 gallons of it but holy shit I refuse to spend that much on foam. No thanks im glad this more affordable foam can be used in a silicone mold! Seems perfect since I don’t care that much about capturing every little detail to be honest. the way it’s coming out of there looks good enough, since it’s a final project for my molding/casting college class and just having pulled off making something that big will be enough for me to get a good grade lmao

Have a question for you master of halloween, your greatness, your majesty....hey I'm wanting to coat this piece that I made out of great stuff few years ago,its still in great condition, but I want to make sure itl be around a while longer, so what in your great wisdom should I use to coat it with some sort of glaze or sealant if you will, to make that happen ?

Is that silicone mold made from a Smooth-On silicone; BITY mold supply's silicone, or the silicone caulk brush-on type from the hardware store, like G.E's or DAP?
