So my oldest daughter and I checked out this amazing botanical garden in Fort Worth, Texas just 2 weeks ago. It was a stunning show of color and the orchid conservatory was something out of this world, with its lush tropical plants and warm, humid environment. The landscape at the botanical garden was well maintained and beautiful. This is one of the nicest botanical gardens I've been to and if you're ever in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, you've got to check it out. As a last minute addition, we stopped by the Fort Worth stockyards to see the long horn cattle drive.

  • I love that you and your daughter went there just the two of you! I would have loved doing stuff like that with my dad. It allows so much time to speak good healthy things into their lives one on one. I enjoyed doing that with my son but it was only day trips.

I'm in Houston Texas but was not aware of this gem in DFW. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Blessings to you and your family.

What a trip!! Best use of the internet is to share sights with those who might never see for themselves. Thank you!!

Really Neat! I especially enjoyed when your daughter ran ahead of you, as it showed she was catching your enthusiasm, for herself.

Beautiful botanical gardens Mike! Thank you for taking us along with Allie and yourself 🤗🤗❤️ I would like to have a green house tall enough for papaya, mango, moringa and citrus. A few orchids will not hurt and vanilla. The colors on those cows.... beautiful! 🤗🤗 Allie grew up so much, she is turning into a young lady before our eyes 👀👀 God bless her and you all.

Looks like you two had a fantastic time! I’m envious of the bonding opportunity with your cub. Daggum, that place looks well taken care of!
  • Wow , what a beautiful botanical garden! I love orchids and the orchids wall is just amazing. Thank you Mike for sharing !

Traveling in the spring does amaze one when you experience a totally different plant zone that is radically warmer / colder / wetter / drier / higher / lower than your own. Even places close by can be amazingly different. I'm in a cold pocket that is higher in elevation than the surrounding area, and so my trees don't leaf out until about two weeks that the city just 25 minutes away does. Other zones also produce in gardeners what I call "zone envy" - that is, a jealously that people in another zone can grow things that you can't - or at least not without radical adaptations. I think most plant lovers lust to grow plants better adapted to locations two or three zones above or below them. Like, I'm in zone 7b, and would love to be able to grow fir trees like you have. I can grow blue spruce, but they won't get very big and I must baby them in the perfect spot. I REALLY want to grow paper birch, but know they won't survive long-term (ask me why I know, LOL).
  • What an amazing garden. These giant old trees are so cool. I like the green leaf Maples a lot too. Such refreshing early color, and not as visually heavy. That Great blue heron on the roof...a pterodactyl? Lol. You crack me up.

Thanks again for sharing such a beautiful place. I love Dallas gardens more. Blessings to you, your lovely daughter and rest of your family. Namaste.
  • Very nice. Loved the maples, orchids, ferns, etc ,etc. It is really beautiful. Thanks for sharing the tour with us all. Very nice. 👍
  • @GenXcollector
FW resident here & very proud of our gardens. They do plant sales in the fall & spring, you might've just missed the spring one this year.
  • Thanks for the tour Mike! We are already green in Northern California as well. The much needed rain this past winter really helped.

Welcome to Fort Worth. Your property is large enough you could do this ai your place. I really enjoy your channel.
  • @lindakemer4950
Oh that was so amazing and fun to watch! Thank you 🙏❄️
  • Hi Mike, Now that's a nice place you went to. Good to see you get away from the stress, from the build . I have a million baby New England maple trees from the mother tree. I get them every year. I'll send you some if you want. Everyone around here taps them for the syrup. I like the shade they give myself. How's your house coming along, I hope the weather got better for you. Well, I'll be looking for your next video. Take care and good luck with the weather. Steve
