I recently visited a mall my buddies and I would hang out in during college 12 years ago. 70% of the shops were closed and covered in black tarp. Bittersweet feelings thinking about how we'd all gone our separate ways. Talking online every once in a while isn't the same as sharing pizza right after gaming at the arcade. We'll never go back to the days of our youth, when we really did believe we could accomplish anything.

That color combo of floor tiles is very 90s. It's like a turquoise, salmon pink, and grey. You'll see that look in a lot of places that haven't been redone since the 90s

The other day I was at the supermarket and between generic pop songs they played some legit old school mall music and I had an out-of-body experience right then and there. I actually stayed in the supermarket for no other reason than to listen to the song till the end

When I was in film school, I worked on a student film in this EXACT MALL. It was all night shoots because they really didn't want us there. I can't tell you how trippy it was to find this video and recognize the tile and the mirrored escalators.
