  • It’s still one of my biggest flexes to have met Sam in 2015. It was in Brisbane when I was at the venue early, my friend and I went on a walk and ended up meeting them. Their security stole our umbrella for them to get out of the car and they were so lovely and gave it back to us and said ‘omg don’t steal the umbrella from these girls and let them get rained on!! I’m so sorry’ and took photos with us and the couple of other fans who were there. Forever grateful, you could just tell how sweet and lovely they were in that brief interaction

I'm a 61-year-old grandma in the U.S. and love Sam Smith. I had a dream one night that I was Sam's friend and we spent the day at their house just talking and laughing, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. Sam seems so genuine and down to earth, someone you could easily talk to.

I’ve heard that “I sang through my voice break and kept high notes” story from so many vocalists that I’m genuinely wondering if there’s a science to it now
  • I love the way Sam replied to the question, it’s so dedicated and conscientious, I love when they told their story, their feeling, their backstory, it’s so warm, intimate closeness like talking to a friend. It is not like an interview with a celebrity ❤️❤️

Sam and Adele need a song together. Even Lewis Capaldi with Sam.
  • I didn’t realize so many people didn’t know the meaning behind stay with me. Your lyrics literally talk about it being a one night stand. I knew that from the start. I love all your answers. I love you wish you could have your first McDonald’s fry again lol.

Sam Smith, up close, just seems really humble. They have an impressive vocal range. Their hit songs continued to be played and further appreciated all throughout the years. We wish Sam all the best in their career.
  • Sam Smith is the most genuine person ever. I am so excited to watch them live again in April.

It makes me said because it feels a little like everyone has written off Sam's Bond Theme for Spectre, "Writing's On the Wall". I think it's a great theme, and as a longtime Bond fan, we were lucky to have their talent in that film.
  • @imchookin
Well, wasn't this like a warm hug?! I love Sam Smith.

So much positivity from how Sam answered all questions. You can hear from the vocabulary he chose, the tone, the way he said it. You're a gem, Sam. Someone will be so lucky to have you in his life.

Sam just seems like such a warm and friendly person. Love their openness and humbleness.
  • They way Sam said “I love you , too” to a fan felt so genuine ❤❤❤❤❤

What a down-to-earth person. I love your music Sam!
  • @n4musica
I’m a voice pedagogy nerd and choir teacher and there’s totally a pedagogical reason behind Sam “heavily” singing through their break. They probably figured out a specific voice placement that allowed them to get around the break. I encourage my boy singers in middle school to sing slightly more nasally than they think sounds good to do this. Some people are magicians and figure it out all on their own. The more you practice singing that way, it becomes muscle memory. Great job little Sam!
  • @Mark0o0Polo
This is my first time listening to Sam speak, haven't seen any interviews, don't know much about them. They seem so freakin' lovely. What a cool person! <3
  • @SR-ih5gh
I love that Sam answers each question with sincerety and intention. They’re such a sweet soul, aren’t they.
  • I love the way gobsmack-talented humans “talk shop.” Whether you’re a mechanic, a singer or a farmer… there’s a passion in everything Sam chats up here & it’s so inspiring. Lots of love, Sam! 🫶🪩🍟
  • @smarre12
It's so nice and refreshing to see people being respectful towards Sam's pronouns with all this hatred going around towards anyone who doesn't fit into the outdated society we live in
  • @amberjay5361
I’m a 37 year old woman from the U.S. and I love Sam Smith! What a heart of gold ❤
