Pastor David Guzik preaches a valuable expository message from the Old Testament at Apostles Church Santa Barbara, in Southern California. Delivered June 18th, 2023, Pastor David gives a sermon on the terribly destructive advice given to King David's wicked son, Absalom, by the defector Ahithophel; and on what God did through the attempts by Hushai to thwart his advance.

Blessings Pastor Guzik! I always wondered why Ahithophel took such drastic measures.

The unforgivable sin will always be rejection of the Holy Spirit. Someone ending their own life is tragic, but should never be seen as a rejection of God, they're someone in immense pain and falling to sin like we all do in our own ways. I hope instead of condemnation we can show those struggling true love, the way God would love them. What a somber message, but needed for today. Thank you. Praise Yahweh the one true God. Revealed Triune as Father, Spirit, and Jesus the Son, each member fully God of which there is only one. 3 distinct Persons coexistant, coequal, and coeternal sharing 1 Divine Essence. Jesus lives and is God, Christ, King. Repent of your sin and believe in Him and be saved to eternal life!

Hey Pastor David. Can you please do a series on the life of David if you havenโ€™t already! I want to deepen my understanding a lot, like I did with your series for Life of Elijah - Contra Mundum

Ahithopel was Bathsheebas Grandfather and Bitterness and unforgiving David(By human accounts something we all would identify with) because of the Adultery and murder of Uriah. After all this sorted details of Davidโ€™s life we know he was a man who knew repentance properly and really loved then and still now in Heaven with The Lord present tense God with his whole heart. The Bible does not sugarcoat anything in peopleโ€™s lives for examples for us to learn from because David is now known to us all who are believers as a man after Godโ€™s own heart.
