Kathleen Kennedy: so how many toxic males are criticizing our masterpiece? Disney execs: not just the men, but the women and the children too

Hi Abbie, it was the best of the three, best written, best Star Wars new cultural introduction, more background on the Witches in general, (Witches seem to be more and more prevalent in current SW stories - Ahsoka, Thrawn, Tales). It add to the story although some might see this at a distraction. It's a writing style call The Rashomon effect and Lesley mentioned that she was going to use that back in a March Hollywood trade mag. The Rashomon effect is a storytelling and writing method in cinema in which an event is given contradictory interpretations or descriptions by the individuals involved, thereby providing different perspectives and points of view of the same incident. The term, derived from the 1950 Japanese film Rashomon, is used to describe the phenomenon of the unreliability of eyewitnesses. We will see what happens to Tobin and perhaps how the witches die. How did Sol even know that Mae was the one to start the fire? Tobin has face scratches, and the Wookie is missing on the ship at the end. How did the fire cause the power generator to blow up or di it blow up by another means? There are still parts of various trailers not seen yet. I believe it's important to focus on Coral's negative personality, her opinion of Osha joining the Jedi, and why she suddenly changed course and headed for the power station in the temple. The scene made me think, "Oh no, what is she going to do?" I'm curious why Coral only took Mea to her bedroom and why Coral is not among the dead witches on the ground, only Mother Anisey and the other sisters. I think Coral might have put Mea in a trance to make her kill her sister, as I don't believe Mea would have done that herself. Similar to the trickery in the trailer, we also see trickery in how the scenes are presented, with some scenes being eliminated to only show one side. I suspect that we will see all these other deleted scenes reappear to provide a different perspective on what happened. This might play out later in the series, rather than in the next episode, when the need appears. I think next week we will continue with Mae and Qimir visiting the Wookie. All our "new" questions will have to wait. It was a great writer's episode, well executed, new material with the evolving influence of the "Witches" tales shown here and in Ahsoka and back in the Clone Wars. Quite exciting times. It may be a less dramatic episode than the first two, episodes, I gave it a 9 for a self-contained "Tales of the Witches" episode for new knowledge and its child-baring implications to the SW Universe in total. Best to you Abbie, Tony

What I enjoyed? Hmm. I liked seeing the 3 younger versions of Sol, Torbin, and Indara. As a person who loves seeing new planets, I enjoyed seeing Brendok. As for the episode, there's just too much negatives that can't be ignored. Lesilye has no idea what the force actually is. Also, Jedi don't go investigate planets and spy on every possible force sensitive child. Nor do they test every child that could be force sensitive. It doesn't typically happen that way. What caused me to sigh and shake my head in disgust the most was the fire Mae set... Logically speaking, on what universe would a small lantern fire literally spread and burn the entire city sitting on a rocky mountain? That literally made no sense. As for the coven of lesbian witches, I like the witches of dathomir and think they are pretty cool. These witches don't make any sense at all. Lesilye literally made up her own version of what she wanted these witches to be. The force is not some greek mythological thread of fate you can weave and bind to your will, lol. It's a cool concept if this was her own made up mythological type of witch power. But it's not. Anyway, this episode would have actually been better if it was episode 1. Then I could have been a little more invested in the characters before they started dying off as soon as they appeared on screen. Indara and Torbin died before I even had time to actually care about them.
