The remaining 8 men and 4 women go head-to-head to see who will take top honors in this year's final event in the Tordrillo Mountains. This small range can be found between the Chigmit and Aleutian Ranges, 75 miles west-northwest and visible from Anchorage. Heavily glaciated and primarily volcanic, the Tords are arguably one of the best venues on the planet for riders to push the boundaries of big mountain freestyle riding.

Taos is a climatic hermaphrodite, which means you can get a good ski in pretty much anywhere you could get a good season, but still kick in a long run, on a mountain, that's trim enough to be fast. In New Mexico, all eyes are on Sierra Village to do the merger between summer and winter athletics as far as ski/board and trail running. We're much more hawkish with our expectations for climate change, but still don't ever want to waste a good winter.
