MARTIN ZUBIMENDI LATEST! | Liverpool transfer update

It emerged yesterday that Liverpool had chosen Martin Zubimendi as their number one holding midfield target for this summer.

But there were several obstacles to completing a deal, and the Reds have yet to tackle all of them.

Find out where this proposed £52m transfer is up to in this latest update from Liverpool reporter David Lynch.

That includes news of a Real Sociedad charm offensive, and the reasons why the midfielder could still stay put.

Let us know whether you are confident Zubimendi will end up a Liverpool player in the comments.

I hope Endo has a future with us. Maybe playing the Milner role late on in games to tighten things up. He has a great attitude and is so committed to the club
  • @jayseth
So Zubimendi has basically told Sociedad he wants to leave, which resulted in them launching this PR campaign. He's gonna sign for Liverpool
  • @coltLFC
He's going to be such a class addition to our midfield...we can't afford to make the same mistakes as last season and Cacaido...no haggling, get the deal done as soon as he gives the greenlight.
  • @MrNullifier
The fact that he's traveling to Germany with his team makes me lean towards him staying put
  • @RIDDLE275
After all the celebrations yesterday and this doesnt go through would be embarrassing. From Moses Caicedo now this .

He's a brilliant player and i think he would be a fantastic fit for this new Liverpool era. But convincing Zubimendi to leace would be like trying to take Trent out of Liverpool, therefor i am rather anxious about this move being succesful.

I actually have no clue lol. I do think you are right we wouldn’t have come this far if it wasn’t something he wanted. Hopefully we can get this done
  • Good video again but I just have a feeling that this transfer won’t happen

Thinking we really need to resolve this by wknd for if he decides to stay we need to move on fairly quickly to try and accommodate that position.

The dynamic of the player's home club trying hard to keep him, delays the process and given budget-minded LFC, presents an opportunity for another big spending club to swoop in on Zubi.
  • @BFMVPeter
The fans got way too excited yesterday. It's not an embarrassment on the club's part, the fans made this what it is before anything serious actually happened.
  • @MrFaizmalik
i don expect him to move. LFC tend to run for players and waste time who are either set to move elsewhere or are tied to a club because they are from there.

Hope he signs as he’s a quality player plus we need another number 6. However not getting carried away until see him holding up a Liverpool shirt.
  • @moze2324
starting to get nervous tbh what if la real do manage to convince him to stay, however I'm still confident

Stick or twist, the greatest game in life. As a man it's important to aim higher, the amount of times I've had to ignore my family and friends so I can progress in life, they don't want you to grow, they love u the way they are. So the big question now is, will he follow his pursuit for glory, or will he give in like many men do and settle for comfort

This is giving flashbacks of thr caicedo and Lavia saga 😢 we might not get zubi 💔
