Hey guys! It's been a while!

I'm excited to share that I'm finally back with another PABORITO episode, at one of the most expensive districts in the Philippines—Bonifacio Global City!

I searched for the best food in BGC by asking locals and frequents of the town! It was a challenge to look for a place with less than five branches but eventually got many recommendations. 🥹

Let me know, what's your PABORITO in BGC? 😋

❗️Important Announcement❗️

Over the past few days, the Philippines has experienced devastating impacts from the typhoon Carina. My heart goes out to all the victims, and I’m sending prayers and support to everyone affected. Stay safe and strong. 🙏

On top of that, I have to say that the PABORITO series will be on hold temporarily. As I’m now back to being a solo creator, producing and editing all the videos on my own, I need some time to focus on quality over quantity. Your patience and support mean a lot to me. Thank you for your love for this series! 🙏❤️

  • Paborito and trabaho series are really genius idea. Whoever came up with this should be awarded ❤
  • @theiansm
I love how grounded you are in gauging the prices. Like the reaction when you found out the coffee was P200 was giving real local pinoy vibes.
  • Yung taga Larry's ni recommend yung Abe. They are one group. Abe is the father of restaurateur Larry Cruz.
  • When Jessica is waving 👋 and say hi its like they know each other 🤣 so cute 🥰🥰🥰

BGC is expensive, and most restos are franchises. But there are few finds there and I’m glad you found one of them.

As someone who has been living in BGC for more than three years now, I'd been to these four spots already and I'm happy that we have the same favorite among the choices, Jess. This district is home to various international cuisines, and I hoped the Japanese options in this set was limited to just one. Nonetheless, it's an interesting and enjoyable episode as usual. I wish you can visit my BGC recos Fowlbread, Sidechick, KIJI Bakehouse, and Outpost when you come back. All the best to producing quality content!

Yess caravan black is a hidden gem. The place is usually not full. Good coffee and good food.
  • 'Mitsubishi Mall' daw, pertaining to 'Mitsukoshi Mall'... Jessica is so cute
  • This video from Jessica is a sad reality here in the Philippines. Where business is not a very popular option for Filipinos, and how monopoly can take over a culture such as here. Interviewees would only know restaurant chains, one even recommended Mcdonald's. It's a shame because the Philippines has so much to offer. It's even in BGC where it's supposed to be hip/modern, hopefully we can shift to a different direction where more options other than chains are available, so kudos to Jessica for promoting these hidden gems in different areas of the country, although for this video majority of those she tried are mini resto chains.

Wow jess sikat sa bgc na from street foods to sostal fine dining restos from uptown areas! Next vlog feature the most expensive restos in manila with at least per menu cost 50K-100K php minimum! Good luck to you!
  • @gabsl1552
There are few resto are worth to try even if its expensive and unpopular opinion 1. Shaka Shaka 2. Jones All Day 3. Key Coffee 4. The Bowery 5. Café Alegria
  • Watching this video Jessica makes me really appreciate Pinas food diversity, availability and the food prices actually. 😅 Been living here in New Zealand for some time now. And there’s not much food option here, also a simple Mcdonald’s meal here will cost you 10NZ$ (around 350php base on the current exchange rate). I know people in NZ will say 10$ is just nothing to them but if you’re from PH you can’t take the fact that its so damn expensive 😅 No offense to NZ. It’s really beautiful and peaceful here. The people also is very kind and welcoming. ❤

The more me watch your videos, the more we get to know you, Jessica-noona. (I'm a 98-liner, but... We'll call you "Noona" because you are our favorite Noona/Unnie) Thank you for sharing a part of yourself... Noona 🫶🏻 —I can't wait to see PABORITO in Provincial areas (Cebu, Davao) 🫶🏻

On the topic of Sushi / Sashimi, you could try Tok-Yu Sushi Bar. There's only 2 branches that I know of so far, one in Pioneer, Kapitolyo (Near Ace Water Spa), and one near Timog, QC. Sushi and sashimi are cheaply priced because I think they have a dedicated source for the seafood. Nice, affordable way to scratch that sushi itch. Not sure if they're on the delivery services though, I haven't been to Manila in a while.
