The Immortals also never roared before battle and were silent. They also wore black masks to hide their faces to intimidate the enemy. If one should fall in battle or become wounded, they would be quickly replaced. They were called Immortals because their never seemed to die. They were the most elite fighters in Persia.
  • The best part of this is that the Immortals actually existed, although they obviously weren't those half-demon ninjas from the movie, but they really were the elite of the elite of the Persian Empire.
  • They were called "Immortals " because whenever a member of this Regiment was killed or incapacitated, they were immediately replaced. The Regiment was, therefore, "immortal ".
  • I had this clip in my Nokia 6600. It was in 3GP format. I always used to show it to my friends. I was in 8th standard back then. Those were the times when we didn't have access to Hollywood Movies. We didn't even know that this clip is from 300 Movie. But always felt proud for having it in my mobile. 😅😅

I'm pretty sure the reason everything about the Persians being fantasized and overexaggerated is because it's supposed to represent a story being told by Dilios. He paints them and monstrous and supernatural to put the Spartans in an even better light.

Imagine waste hours and effort to make a wall of bodies to not kill one single person
