This would be way better if they ditched the corny commentary, turned up the music and had a real emcee on the mic

People thinking this is more subjective than any other judged sport need to get their heads examined. I've watched like 3 rounds and it's super obvious who is better here. 😅😂😂

This better stick around for every Olympics forever

So we can understand people running fast in a circle, twirling a hoop, shooting a gun, but competitive floor gymnastics to a beat is not Olympics worthy? I swear people are trolling now

Amir has great use of original takes on staple moves. Thats refreshing to see. I also agree with the commentator about his patterns of flow. Very leapfrog like. What i mean is that he'll do a clean strong move, then he does like a pallet cleanser of reorientating himself in order to throw himself, and his inertia, into a move with very different timing or a very different trajectory of that last move. The physics of BD is absolutely a factor. Amir gets that and uses it in a unique way. Congrats Amir, you gave Break Dancing a great show of it in it's 1st Olympics.

A lot of ignorance and racism about this. Ignorance since a lot of people don’t realized the skills and dedication it takes to get to this level of Breaking. It isn’t just flares, windmills and headspin like what you see on you got serve or step up. These Bboys/Bgirls have to find and develop their own unique style. Racism for those saying that it should be an only black thing. Blacks should be happy that one of the four element of Hip Hop has gone global and made the Olympics and has gained worldwide recognition. Hip hop promotes peace, unity, love and having fun.
  • first time I ever saw breakdancing was 1980. I was like WWHHHhhhaaaaaaaaDang that's Cool! Now an Olympic Sport. wow

Amir gotta learn to groove to the beat. He was just doing moves. He could’ve possibly won.
