The Kirtland Temple was the first temple that members of the church built. Members believe many sacred experiences happened inside -- the most significant of which they say is a visit from Jesus Christ himself.

Fantastic story, thank you for putting this together. I lived in the Kirtland area for a year and love that sacred place, the experiences I had while there have in so many ways impacted my life for good. Can’t wait to get back.

I've heard and read about the church history, but this is my first time seeing pictures inside the Ohio Kirtland Temple, the first temple that the pioneers walk from many miles and singing, Omai omai outou le Aupaia, Galulue fiafia..I testify that this is His church, and He is our Savior our Redeemer. Heavenly Father is our loving father. President Russell M Nelson is a true living prophet. I humbly say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
