Hours before leaving port, the massive container ship that caused the deadly collapse of a Baltimore bridge, experienced electrical problems. The Dali departed Baltimore’s port early on March 26 laden with cargo destined for Sri Lanka. It lost power before reaching open water and struck one of the supports for Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing the span to collapse into the Patapsco River and sending six members of a road repair crew plummeting to their deaths. The bodies of two of the victims are still unaccounted for. The FBI is now conducting a criminal investigation into the bridge collapse that is focused on the circumstances leading up to it and whether all federal laws were followed.

    With all of the issues with the electrical system and the power system, this ship should've NEVER left port until all these issues were corrected.

    Sorry but this channel is a no go for me. I am often watching videos while working on paperwork at my desk and have to rely on the soundtrack just to keep up with what's going on - I don't have the time nor the patience to have to constantly be looking at the screen to see your captions. Plus most of the time when I have checked your videos they are repeating old information that has already been released sometimes days ago, so that's another negative for me. Good luck in the future.

    This was an avoidable accident. If the ship was having problem before it set sail and they were not fixed the Dali should have never set sail. Like the taxpayer are not being taxed to death already! Biden has the nerve to say the govt. will pay for this accident! The company or person that was responsible for this accident should be the one liable and pay for this accident. Not the taxpayers.

    ITS ABOUT TIME THAT YOU REPORT ON THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM! IT WAS REPORTED THE NEXT DAY FROM DUNDALK MARINE TERMINAL, ABOUT THIS BEFORE IT EVEN LEFT PORT! THE WOMAN SAID IT IN AN INTERVIEW? AND THAT THE REEFER CONTAINERS WERE KICKING BREAKERS ! IVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG?
