I'm consistently surprised by how bad samsung are with laptops considering their success in phones and memory etc. Also apparently they're in an emergency mode now due to falling sales which unfortunately might degrade any potential quality in laptops they could've had from more overworked employees.

Josh just put quick share mode on laptop to nobody and complained about it not detecting his galaxy S23+💀.

It's not right to compare the weight of a 14" laptop to that of a 12" or 13". The Samsung Book4 may underperform in many ways, but it is among the 1-2 lightest 14" laptops. Lighter than the Asus Zenbook 14 and the HP Spectre 14.

There’s no point comparing Windows with Mac. People who don’t have to buy Windows will all go to Mac. So comparing with other Windows laptops will be helpful.

Ah, I love quick share on all my computers. You don't need a Samsung computer just an Intel wireless card. Weird how it doesn't work for you.

I had a Book3 360 and found absolutely horrendous in battery life. Windows just sitting there consuming 10% every 10min. Swear to god it was the biggest tech disappointment of my life.

The one major thing that this Samsung has over the MacBook is removable storage. As a Geeksquad repair agent, this is a really big deal as we can upgrade the storage if you need more later or can even get the data off the laptop in the vast majority of circumstances where laptop is damaged by just taking out the SSD. I have even gotten the SSD out and was able to easily recover the data of a few laptop that had water or coffee spilled on them. Getting data off a MacBook that has it's motherboard damaged is nearly impossible and would require a very expensive data recovery service if it is even possible. Of course this is never the ideal situation but since most people don't have proper backup's of their data these situations are common at the store I work at.

I just purchased this laptop for the THIRD time. I fell in love with the beauty of it to be honest. It really is a gorgeous looking machine. However, when it comes reliability it left me wanting. I had to return the first one I purchased because it was randomly rebooting when I had it plugged into two 2K UW monitors while coding. I returned the second one mostly because I found it at a better price but I did get the Blue Screen Of Death on it once. Also, before returning the second machine I reset it (through the Windows settings) which stuck the laptop in an infinite boot loop. So why then did I purchase it a third time? Well, with the laptop currently being on sale I will end up getting it for $1149 before tax (Actually $850 after some credit card "hacks" and a discount from my job). I am most likely going to sell it and then get either an HP Spectre or Macbook Air/Pro. My only concern about getting a Macbook is that I very likely need to run Windows and the ARM version of Windows 11 may not be compatible with my needs. (Any replys here about Windows on a Mac are welcome). Here is a pro/con list from using this computer for a few weeks as my main machine: Pros: If you are using this laptop on a desk for office related tasks (not maxing it out on performance like I was) then it really is a well performing laptop. I was able to multi-task very well on it and everything was snappy. It's super thin and light making it incredibly portable; moving it around the apartment one handed almost felt like holding a clipboard. It wakes from sleep almost immediately and the fingerprint reader is almost instantaneous. The keys felt great to use and I could open the lid with one finger on a non-slippery surface. It looks just like a Macbook which was definitely a selling point that appealed to me. Lastly, the display is truly amazing. If you want a laptop for streaming Netflix or viewing content then this laptop is a very good choice. Cons: This laptop gets HOT. It didnt burn my fingers when using the middle function keys, but it got close. I certainly wouldn't want to hold my finger against the top center of the keyboard during any mid to heavy use. The bottom (top-center) gets quite hot as well, to the point where when I had it on my lap in bed I was concerned that the sheets blocking the fan was going to cause it to overheat and melt the motherboard. Neutral: The laptop has "Quiet" mode where you can turn off the fan completely. This was a huge draw for me but as I often need the laptop for high performance tasks I was unable to benefit much from this mode. The times when I did have it on though and was just browsing the web it did a very good job of staying silent yet still being snappy. The CoPilot key is annoying. It is the same as pressing Win+C. They have taken a useful meta key and replaced it with only one viable function. For anyone wishing to customize this key (using AHK or something similar) it sends an F23 keypress. TL;DR If you want a super portable 14" clamshell with a gorgeous touchscreen display then the Galaxy Book4 Pro is a great choice (as long as you don't need it for more than viewing content or light office work, just like Josh said). Using this computer for high-end, performance intensive tasks should be avoided as you may see the computer overheat and shut down... but the silver lining is that when it turns back on it will reopen your apps where they were. I never lost any data but it was annoying.

Great review! Still waiting on the full review of the Lenovo Yoga pro 9i. Any idea when that's coming?

Thanks for this! Sort of knew what you would say, but wanted to see your test results. Love your reviews.

Hi, thanks for the quality content! I was wondering if you could also look into the ZenBook 13 OLED with Intel Ultra 7. It would be very curious how it compares to MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo. Thanks!

When choosing a laptop, the balance between battery life, silent-mode performance, and lightweight design is crucial. If high performance is a necessity, a desktop may be a more cost-effective option. I am seeking reviews that focus on realistic usage scenarios, such as over eight hours of light use, low noise levels, and good performance in silent mode, with a 15-16" screen and lightweight build, for my child who will be attending university this fall. But, most reviewers are focusing on performance at max mode... that I think is misleading people.

Yet another example of a Windows laptop manufacturer trying to run before they can walk and instead of focusing on getting the basics right, they try their hardest to make the slimmest and sleekest laptop with a high end CPU to fool the average consumer. I’m praying the Qualcomm ARM based processor arrives soon 🙏

Samsung has gone down the bin , pathetic high pricing , horrible supply chain issues , redundant old tech.
