Boeing is under scrutiny over a series of incidents, including when a door blew out of a 737 Max plane shortly after take-off.

Two competing hearings were held in Congress on Wednesday to discuss safety issues on Boeing planes.

Engineer Sam Salehpour accused Boeing of taking shortcuts in the construction of its 787 and 777 jets.

He claimed he was "threatened with termination" after raising concerns with bosses.

But Boeing said the claims were "inaccurate" and added it was confident its planes were safe.

Its about time as this fine company needs to be rescued from its executives and other incompetents
  • If you’re a customer then refuse to fly on any Boeing plane until the company has had a major overhaul where engineers are back in charge over business and marketing executives!

THEY TOOK SHORTCUTS AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! CANCEL ALL THEIR GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS IMMEDIATELY!

Have spent $300 more than I needed to on a recent booking and had to accept an inconvenient flight time so that I would not be on a Boeing aircraft. Close relative worked at Boeing and advised me.

That was reported on Redacted weeks ago. You haven’t mentioned the death of the Boeing whistleblower either

No worries. It'll be fine. Just like the carbon fibre submersible.

Thank you for this discussion. Boeing's reassurances are not convincing me - at all. It's Airbus for me.

Dreamliner problems are well known for many years. The stringers in the airframe were very poorly fitted and staff were very unmotivated and unlistened to.

Bullpucky!! Compare incident reports/ cycle of 737MAX and not the 737. Better still, against airbus. The data is clear- exponentially higher.
