Two competing hearings were held in Congress on Wednesday to discuss safety issues on Boeing planes.
Engineer Sam Salehpour accused Boeing of taking shortcuts in the construction of its 787 and 777 jets.
He claimed he was "threatened with termination" after raising concerns with bosses.
But Boeing said the claims were "inaccurate" and added it was confident its planes were safe.

Have spent $300 more than I needed to on a recent booking and had to accept an inconvenient flight time so that I would not be on a Boeing aircraft. Close relative worked at Boeing and advised me.

Dreamliner problems are well known for many years. The stringers in the airframe were very poorly fitted and staff were very unmotivated and unlistened to.

Bullpucky!! Compare incident reports/ cycle of 737MAX and not the 737. Better still, against airbus. The data is clear- exponentially higher.
