In this video we will go through the different steps of processing a caribou hide and getting it ready to be used for many different STEAM projects. We are all about blending culture and technology in CITC's Fab Lab. This is a perfect example of that

For less work on the hide, and a better looking carcass, try peel the hide before you gut. Takes 5 minutes. Basicly, make you opening cuts and from the asshole to chin, chest to hooves, cutting the front legs along the front of them, asshole to hooves , the back legs along the back side of them to the hooves. Then use your hands and peel the skin from the meats and fats, leaving the fats and connective tissue on the animals and a clean hide with no blood on the flesh side. Ive done thousands of Caribou this way over the last 35 years and its the fastest, easiest, cleanest way to do it.
