  • What other questions do you have about growing a successful art career? 🥰💕 I hope you guys enjoy the video!
  • @JojanVlogt
I think it's important to note that 5 years ago there was a lot less competition on YouTube for artists, so growing your audience was easier.
  • Funny to see your video on a moment when I'm drawing and painting every single day, despite being an almost 40yo factory worker in Japan (which allowed me to buy a lot of the colored pencils and papers I would only dream in Brazil). And the last week I've made a drawing of a beautiful cat I found on Instagram and tagged the photographer,, now the owners of my model want me to send the drawing to Europe. Might be the second drawing I sell in a whole life of drawing for fun, but studying hard as if it was my main career. Love your videos and you art. So inspiring. Love from Japan.

Ah kirsty I remember the early days, how you worked hard in your bedroom, not much room to work with but you made it work with the tools you had. You deserve your success you've achieved, as you worked so hard, and still you keep amazing me on how well your doing, you have fantastic business sense too, always coming up with new ideas. Proud of you sweetheart 🥰😘😘

I've been thinking about this for the past two months. The world is telling me something haha

I've been trying to start my art career for more than 2 years. I draw everyday, keep improving and I feel stuck. Its taken me 2 years to get to 65 followers on Instagram and have barely made any sales. People always say it takes time. But it's really discouraging when you see others get success 3x faster.

I love this channel so much. You are providing so much information for free. I learned drawing through your videos (still improving) and now I'm gonna learn how to make a little side-income from it (maybe even more). I'm still in school but honestly: The first thing I will do once I receive my first payment (in about half a year) I will subscribe to your patreon (and to skillshare but that's unimportant to this). Please keep up providing quality information for free, it is a great help for us people who can't afford art school.

Thank you so much for posting this video Kirsty! I am so grateful for all of the helpful videos you create on YouTube. I love your channel and you are so inspirational to not only me but so many other artists. I have been struggling growing my art business and holding down other multiple jobs at the same time. It's been so disheartening at times and I've nearly given up SO many times, but I've kept pushing through and I'm finally seeing results! I'm hoping that with time, developing my skills, and continuing to grow I may one day be really successful with my business. You give me so much hope that this can be possible 💜💜
