This is so frustrating, especially for small businesses! Plz think about installing alarms that are triggered to call police right away. I owned a retail store for 30 years - our alarm was tripped by thieves only once who fled as soon as the alarms went off. It was also tripped at least a dozen more times by animals, wind, etc.. the police were always down there before we were! Even though every false alarm was billed to us ($75) by the alarm company - I guess for the trouble of alerting us & the police, I was always so grateful & slept soundly. I'm sure they are considering every possible option. But just catching these guys isn't going to stop the next ones!

A motion sensor with bright flashing lights and an incredibly loud alarm would be a pretty good deterrent and would be a lot cheaper than the $10K that he's now going to have to pay for repairs. I can't see anybody sticking around with all of that crap going on.
