  • I first saw this 8 years ago and unfortunately the most memorable part that stuck with me was the ragdoll physics of the animated city ravaged by a halt in rotation. Don't get me wrong, the physics and astronomy are done very well, and I've appreciated it more as I've gone on in my education. The the shear shock factor of giggling at something you really shouldn't, is all too memorable.

I like how this guy has extreme videos like "what if the sun disappeared" and "what if the earth stopped spinning", and then has videos covering the less extreme topics like "is cereal a soup"
  • @hamzasami8459
4:18 it was at this moment he changed the topic. He finished the question and talked about time, second, cesium and other stuff. The question ended got answered in 4 minutes time and got into almost unrelated topics. He tricked me into learning what i didnt want to learn. This is why I love you vsause.
  • “ hey Vsauce micheal here. Your doors and windows are locked. Or are they?
  • I'm amazed at how Michael discusses so many unrelated topics and somehow ties them all together
  • @Lyw1234567890
Great, now I want to see a movie with this as a major plot point
  • @mbgrafix
If there really was a Transporter as in Star Trek, it would need to be calibrated to beam you to your spot on the planet at the same speed as the planet's rotation. Otherwise, you would be killed by the speed of the planet and the objects on it pummeling you.
  • @Seki1987
Michael debunked flat Earth theory without even knowing.
  • @drdruggi7683
vsauce videos either end wholesome and you feel good about yourself or they end in giving everyone an existential crisis.
  • @officialgrindr
This type of concept of how we conveniently move along with the motion of the earth makes time often think: how convenient it is for life, that momentum exists. Think about how the universe could have unwittingly just had all properties of physics in place except for momentum, and we wouldn’t have had a surface to stand on. Heck, planets would probably not even form under that condition. Which then makes me wonder, would life always find a way anyway?
  • @sarreid9401
Me: hey Vsauce what’s the time? Vsause: what is time
  • But my pet rock from the 90’s will be ok, right? He’s a resilient guy. He didn’t even bat an eye when I had to hit the brakes a bit harder than normal!
  • @thebadgamer192
I respect Michael. He almost, just almost goes off track, but still manages to talk about the thing he first talked about.
