    Barbados is probably the toughest country to do. Because Mt. Gay and Foursquare is very close in flavor profile.
  • It really isn't a shock to me that Planteray fares relatively badly here. The added sugar and the cognac finishing is definitely a different style to what the other distilleries are offering, so it's almost an unfair comparison. (also 2 of the Planteray were their gimmicky flavoured rums). This is partially why Mount Gay, Foursquare and St. Nicholas Abbey are pursuing the GI for Barbados which would exclude almost everything in the Planteray range (because it's usually finished in France). Great video though. I wish some of these brands where available where I live. No Old Brigand or Mount Gay Port Casks here.
