I was out with one of my homegirls and she's Sikh and one time this lady asked her if she was Muslim and she tells the lady no. Sure enough, the lady was like "Are you sure? You just look like one of them, so are you?" Looool my friend just simply said "Are you ignorant?" The lady had the audacity to get annoyed and made a huge scene. She said no she wasn't ignorant and then my friend just asked her "Are you sure? Cause you look like it." What's even funnier is the lady said my friend had some nerve assuming what she was based on her looks. . . the irony.

This was great , I liked that they mentioned that Sikhs are often victims of Islamaphobia too . I think many people often forget this

One of my old neighbours was a sikh and he always matched his turban to his belt. He also invited me in for tea every Friday afternoon. What a legend
  • I’ve so much respect for the Sikh community. They are unbelievably charitable, and really full of a love for life. It’s so unfair they experience prejudice and racism, especially in the wake of everything, but as shown here they don’t let it drag them down. They don’t seem to waste anytime on anger and hatred, and probably recognise if people say abusive things to them, it’s all their issue, not theirs

I am Spanish and here in Spain what I very much like about most Sikhs is that they treat women equally and that Sikh girls work outside from home and are hard working and kind, regardless of the nationality of others. I once visited a Sikh Temple on a tourist journey to India and it was so nice to see how much they cared for others giving them food,...I think that some people just lack the knowledge and they need a kind explanation about Sikhism to appreciate it more. About racist people who want to send them "home" as a young girl one of the nicest things I recall when I reached London for the first time was seeing a Sikh worker at the airport being welcoming, smiling and waving his hand saying hello. I felt less afraid☺️
  • When ever I see a Sikh person I feel safe and happy; that's my honest statement.

I live near a large Sikh community and when I see a Sikh person at the grocery store I just love looking at the clothing and turbans that they wear because each one is so unique and beautiful. I'm really glad this video was made because it did cover some of the stereotypes they get and explained some differences.
