Today Architectural Digest brings you to the coast of the Indian Ocean in Kenya to visit supermodel Naomi Campbell at her luxurious, airy villa. Life as a fashion trailblazer and industry icon in constant demand for years necessitates a place to get away and unwind, and the tranquil seaside town of Malindi proved to be the perfect spot. “It’s a very calming place,” says Campbell. “You don’t really want to be on the phone. You’re not trying to find a television. You just want to read and be with yourself.”

I love how everything is local/localized, and all she's doing is promoting Kenya and the craftsmen.
  • @Moonview90
I love that she promotes Kenya so much. Africa is so stigmatized with bad things, but it is a beautiful continent full of culture and beautiful landscapes, cities and so on.
  • Just love the way she embrace the rural culture. Simple , elagant
  • @meepo4212
I love how she's kept it traditional and hasn't tried to replicate a London townhouse in Kenya. This home is in Kenya for a reason.

The number of times Naomi has mentioned and hyped Kenya it is amazing. She has even remembered to mention African designers and she is a Queen for that
  • @miaevans7437
I was wondering when she was gonna mention bugs (cause I’m always defending open air housing/outside living)and she addresses it with “of COURSE we have mosquitoes here” The confidence! I love it, it’s something you really do have to accept if you want to get to enjoy paradise

guys this isn’t her villa it’s actually a hotel and she was just promoting the kenyan tourism
  • Her home is like a resort but like her own personal resort this is what I thrive for
  • @Tolu1994
I could feel the breeze on my skin as she walking through the house
  • @lunaholiday8585
Omigosh, you can see the room numbers by the doors! Look at the doors by the “living room “ with the pool. And when she shows “her room”. It’s a gorgeous hotel, though. I’d love to go there.
  • What a unique and wonderful home! I love that many of the pieces are from local craftsman. I love how she speaks about Kenya and the rest of the African countries. She emphasizes and shows and that Kenya isn’t some broken down tragedy. I also love that there’s nothing pretentious here. Her love and respect for this country and it’s people seem genuine.

She constantly looks like she bout to hit that runway. So glad she loves Kenya it is so beautiful
  • This is what I call, a rich healthy life. No wonder she looks stunning, That natural air, breeze,

Her house is rather like a holiday resort by the beach. Everything about it seems airy and open but also a little commercial like a hotel would. I wonder if she bought a whole resort and turned it into her home.
  • As a Kenyan I feel so emotional, waoooooh thanks for the positive vibes about Kenya, the house is incredible
  • No wonder Campbell was chosen as Kenya's Tourism Ambassador... Her love for Kenya
  • @andriah8126
She created an al inclusive resort as her home where “everyone” has their own area. My question is how can I be this “everyone”?
  • @elechibi92
I've been to Kenya several times and what amazed me was always the architecture so in sync with nature, as they complimented each other. Naomi really shines talking about her house, she looks like she cares so much about the Swahilian infrastructural heritage and its genius designers. Props to her and to everyone who built this!
