First thoughts on my brief time with the new Nitecore HC65 UHE
So what is UHE? its Nitecores new LED they are using which claims to be much more efficient than other emitters. So far I'm very happy with this headlamp. Despite the matrix of emitters it doesn't give a horrible beam profile and three modes are really good. It looks like Nitecore have done it again and made an HC65 that i like a hell of a lot.
Full review up after 2 weeks of total use.

You Sir are a wealth of knowledge. I am actually excited about this headlamp. In fact since the last part of 2023 Nitecore has been kicking butt. :_Flashlight::_Cell::_Cell::_Headlamp:

I got this one. Although it’s got some really good features I still prefer my HC68. I will get a 4000mAh battery though, I asked them and it’s compatible with the HC68. Thanks for your, as usual, excellent review!

Looking forward to your review. From your early impressions it seems to be a good upgrade from the previous HC65 versions

Looks like a good lamp. Including a 4000mAh battery is I think the highest capacity 18650 I've seen (if it's an honest rating). They did a good job on the optics. I'd usually prefer a warmer color temp, but they're usually less efficient so you can see why they went with 6000k here. Using multiple emitters would also allow them to stay in some optimum efficiency curve rather than being over driven.

I just bought one. I think the USB port itself is waterproof, although when I asked in a YOutube comment they said that they do not recommend using the headlamp underwater.

If that 2 hrs at 2000 lumens claim is true then this thing is amazing. Ultra High Efficiency is exactly what I'm looking for in a light, get the most out of the space and weight.
