Hi!! wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PODCAST!!!! For my level personally (beginner intermediate) this is amazing as I do understand everything that’s being said. What’s different about this podcast and others though is that I’m actually learning things, which I LOVE. I would much prefer getting to learn things while receive Spanish input rather than listening to people speak about things that are common and what I already know. This fills two buckets in my brain and I really appreciate the effort that has been put into all of the episodes! I can’t wait for more.

Absolutely love this channel, I needed listening practice that was a little slower and it's perfect (for now) haha! 🙌
  • Thanks for your sharing firstly. Besides, I think Immersive Translate is also an useful tool that can help me look up for unfamilar words directly and accuratly
  • @JDavidHopkins
Wow! Es la primera vez que les he escuchado hablar en inglés! Muy bien!

Here from the main channel, and I can say that I'm enjoying this format too. Yay for more listenings! ^^

Thank you. Listening to slow speech allows to stop caring so much about understanding a topic and gives an opportunity to focus more on aquiring grammar and vocabulary.
  • I'm so used to hearing your intro in spanish, for a moment I thought that I finally understood Spanish fluently!...Until I realized you're actually speaking english. Lol 😅

Wow ! I was a Salsa member back when i first started learning Spanish almost a year ago, and I listened to your podcasts to recognize whatever words that i was able to, which were very few.... i had to eventually stop because i didn't even know pasado simple and preterito imperfecto at that time, lol.... now I am learning subjunctive with my italki tutor from Puebla ... I just joined your Patreon again as a Salsa member 5 minutes ago. I can pretty well understand everything you both say in your podcasts, but when i have to stop to think about something you just said then i can get lost, not to mention when you keep talking for 20 minutes it is easy to get a little confused. You always introduce lots of great vocabulary too.... I'll for sure be glad to get those transcripts again!!! Glad i found your second channel here, thank you both !!!!!

    There are many benefits
From being bilingual. We’re a Dutch couple living in Atlanta and we spoke Dutch during their early youth. As of age two we put them in a one day morning program to expose them to English as well and they picked it up everywhere around us at the same time as they learned Dutch. It’s amazing how children soak it up. A benefit was that they learn other languages very quickly too now. My son Iearned Spanish at school and picked it up very quickly. My daughter did the same and learned German in college without problems. A lot of people learn to read music quicker too. I love that you’re going to raise your baby bilingual!

Through learning Spanish specifically, I discovered that there are tons of free medical resources available online in Spanish that simply don’t exist in English, which was very surprising considering how massive of a world language English is.
I also like learning languages because it gives me more topics to discuss with okee 😂

Muchas muchas gracias!! Your videos are the best I have found for comprehensible input. I hope your channel becomes huge!!! 😊
  • Wonderful process! I appreciate the slower speed without compromising the pronunciation. Also genius to add words/pictures only as needed to challenge beginners to comprehend without being fed subtitles. Great for audio learning👍
  • Thank you soooo much for making this channel. I just discovered it. I have tried listening to your other channel and it was just too hard for me. I haven't listened to an entire episode yet, but from what I've heard of the two I started I am going to love them.

I love your video! However, I couldn't turn on the subtitles for some reason. 😭I had to use a translation tool like Immersive Translate to generate subtitles. Thankfully, it works well, so I can enjoy your video without any language barriers.

¡Guau! Esto va a servir bien a los estudiantes principiantes y es buena idea. Estoy acostumbrada de su modo "normal" de hablar, pero a veces les dificulta a mis propios estudiantes entenderlos porque no tienen tanta experiencia.😄

Brilliant i know it was a struggle to see peak slower , but your other podcasts are really fast and i enjoyed this one better.
