History ASMR: The Crusades (3 hours+ bedtime story)

Published 2023-01-15
In this bedtime story made to help you relax or fall asleep, I tell you the story of the crusades to the Holy Land, from 1096 to 1302. This is a re edition of the story I published in 3 parts.
We take a look at medieval politics, societies, diplomacy and warfare, in the Christian and Muslim worlds, and I tell you about the many episodes, twists and historical figures involved (like Godfrey of Bouillon, Saladin, Richard the Lionheart, Frederick II or Saint Louis.

I don't think people realized how actually amazing a feat it is that this guy maintains this channel. He releases multiple well researched, well edited, well voice-over'd, multi-hour videos a year. Thats insane
  • @DSUconn11
My wife always asks where I learn my “interesting facts” from and it’s honestly just from the first 15 min of your videos before I fall asleep!
  • @vikik897
Oh my god, this channel is incredible! We get to learn so many things in such a pleasant way.
  • I love your vids, I’m on college taking a few medieval Europe courses and putting these on while I sleep helps me retain the information better. Would love more of this style (maybe something about Charlemagne). Goodnight and Bonne Nuit.
  • come on people let’s get the views up on this one for our boy
  • @bcboy0300041
In 12 days I have probably watched this 40 times
  • Thank you so much for the beautiful way that you narrated this part of history. ❤🏵️🙏
  • @docjc1842
This was incredible! You are so talented. Would you ever do a video on Geisha culture? I think that would be epic. Alternatively have you ever studied Carl Jung? I'm a psychologist and would love to hear his biography done by you or a review of his archetypes. Thank you again for all the peace and healing you provide.
  • I’m rewatching ( and napping!) this after reading Dan Jones’ excellent book “ Crusaders” whilst on holiday in Rhodes.
  • @MsZoedog66
Your voice is like magic to this weary traveller....never fails to calm, and is interesting enough to capture my interest.
  • @Jacob-qz9fo
A guy who sounds like a shogun reading about medieval europe. Awesome❤
