  • DITTO!!!!! I DO NOT and Cannot stand that silky straight, flatty flat, down on the scalp high school hair anymore. I used to obsess about having that all the time. I do my own hair, no more salons since 2015 and that’s when the length retention took off, fast. I love leaving some texture—-slight poof if you will—looks healthier that way, in my option, very youthful and fun appearance in my opinion, also very long. Reaching my bootang at this point. I use a Revair dryer, no pulling traditional hair dryers through my hair anymore. I press on 370-400 and my hair loves that.

Didn’t even think of just blow drying straight and using flexi rods. I’ve gotta try that one time

I agree with you when you say that using the babyliss often would most likely give you heat damage. I’ve used titanium and ceramic on my hair and hands down that titanium will ruin your hair. And also only doing it monthly. Unfortunately not all scalps like mine can handle monthly washing. So I found myself having to wash my hair weekly to biweekly and ended up with heat damage. But I love watching your journey and thank you for sharing your tips just in case I decide to give heat training a try again in the future 😊

Hi! 😊😊😊 I’m super happy that I found your channel. My hair had been through so many different things, but I am back to wearing my hair heat straightened/heat trained, and that’s the journey that I plan to stick with for the rest of my life. It is what keeps my hair and scalp it’s healthiest overall. I had bern looking for new naturals to follow that wear their hair best trained or heat straightened, so I am super thankful that I ended up coming across your channel. You have a very wonderful, warm and inviting, very down to earth personality, that I absolutely adore. I greatly enjoyed watching this video from beginning to end. Your hair looks so incredibly beautiful. I definitely wish you much continued success with your hair journey for sure. Best wishes to you and I sincerely hope you have a fantastic weekend! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Do you exercise? If so, how do you keep it stretched? Will you go back in and straighten if need be before you wash again?

  • @Picturegirl26
Such good information on the irons, and I like a bit of texture also, never giving up any of the kink or my ability to have my hair curl back up
  • @libfuzzy4629
I just wanted to say your gorgeous and your natural curls look amazing
  • @akosua8779
Subbed❤ starting new journey, heat kept my hair long as a child down my back so back to childhood basics...my hair just likes to be streched and left alone to grow
  • @rinawallace1962
So good to see a video from you. Thank you for showing us how you are able to maintain beautiful hair!

Currently on the straight natural journey, my biggest issue is I will be lucky if I can get my hair to 10 days without my scalp screaming at me or my edges are lucking crazy because they are of course the most exposed. So I end up having to wash every 7-10days which means at least 3 presses a month. I haven't got any crazy heat damage but I wish I could make my hair go longer without washing. However, I have had a sensitive scalp for a long time and I don't put anything on it because of that reason. Your hair has come a long way and looks great❤ thanks for the update 😊
  • @Sapphireandvirgo
In one of your older videos you mentioned washing your hair every two weeks, did you change to monthly for length retention reasons? I’m so glad I found your channel your hair is gorgeous and you make great content.
  • @AltraTara
I am terrified of using the flat iron so I will stick to being a blow out natural (at home), but does it help with growth and length retention? I have had my first a few days ago…
  • Which foam mouse do you use? Foam mouse always makes my hair revert.
  • What do you do in the summer months? Do you wear protective styles or silk presses during g the warmer weather
