SLOAN - A-Sides Win Again: Singles 2006-2014 -- Canadian power pop/rock band

Published 2022-03-07
I do not own the music in this video, I am just a huge fan (and I'm not even Canadian.)

Sloan is one of the best kept Canadian rock secrets as well as the most democratic band that ever existed, all 4 members each providing a song on every album. After releasing the career spanning compilation A-Sides Win 1992-2005 most rock bands would call it quits or update their sound (aka wimp out) but for the 15 years since Sloan has kept swinging at those pesky charts as if it were 1992, and rocking like it were 1972. This fan made video collects all the A-Side singles up to 2014 from this later era in rough chronological order. However, there are many incredible album tracks left in the lurch so don't stop here, and how did Commonwealth only get one single despite Carried Away and You Got a Lot on Your Mind?!!

If you like this, I recommend to a newbee to visit the band's site and sign up to receive the free compilation Singles 1992-2011.

I am well aware of Sloan. Heard about them first by way of Audiogalaxy website in 2001 after connecting onto Big Wreck. Huge underground support but I never found that ONE song that gave me willy flutters lol. Big Wrecks Ladylike was all I needed to become a lifeling fan. Will check this link in full later.
