Coming from a SONY FX3 and SONY’s Touch Tracking feature, I think that’s insanely underrated. The ability to touch ur screen and the camera locks onto whatever you touch is incredible. Sometimes I’m filming broll of a sign on a building, objects that aren’t people or animals. I miss that A LOT in my Fujifilm :/

There’s actually an ‘ibis boost’. When it is ON, it tries to make the shot as still as possible and results in jumpy pans and tilts as you describe, but that’s because the boost is for static shots only. With it OFF it behaves exactly as you describe with the FX3. I mapped this on/off to a function button on the camera, so if I want I tripod-like static shot or I want to pan I just press this button to toggle that switch before or even during recording.

Great review! Lots of good info and love how you broke it all down 👌
  • 7:02 yep, I was surprised it didn't come in the last update. Even the X-S20 has this. But yeah, thankfully we finally got the ISO one.

Love the review, share a lot of the same wishlists for future Fuji cameras. And yeah, we'd love the softening video!!
  • I would also like them to allow you to adjust settings after hitting record .

Great review, I love this camera. I got sent some cinema lenses to try out and finally get to use them this weekend. I’m actually starting to shoot ProRes Raw by default now. The image quality is insane if if you’re exposing the ProRes Raw correctly. I wish Fuji would come out with a cinema camera. I would love internal NDs as well. The Fuji x100v has an internal ND

How it compares against the Z8 taking the price difference in the situation? And against the Panasonic S5IIX?

Amazing video. Thank you! I guess the only thing we think differently is the red square around the screen. With an external monitor it would be ok, but with the camera's lcd only it will make it harder to focus, etc.
  • @edi18912
should i just get the Panasonic S5 II? will that have the same DR without the noise? and better low light
  • Would love to see a video on reducing sharpness! That's something I've been trying to do for quite a while and wouldn't say I've nailed it yet.

Wait you can't output HD while recording 4K? I have a Atomos Shinobi monitor that doesn't allow more than 4K30 or HD60, will I be able to display HD60 while sec in 4K or in higher fps?
  • @matthewqin3672
I'm not sure if you're using an anamorphic lens, but I believe the 6.2k open gate is ideal for anamorphic lenses. Therefore, I hope to add deformation correction. Additionally, the sensor is capable enough to support 6.2k 60fps, which means using an anamorphic lens in open gate would also result in slow motion.

Aaron I just discover your channel when I was looking for Fujifilm X-h2s reviews and definetely will stay for a little big longer and hit the subscribe button as well! I just wonder what camera should I buy next. I just got Fujifilm X-S10 with Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 and Sigma 16mm 1.4... thinking about upgrade and go for X-S20, X-H2 or X-H2s... I know that X-S20 is a lower segment but still offers a lot in that prize range. After your video I'm more into X-H2s. I'm using camera mainly for videos (90%) and sometimes for photos (10%).Nothing pro, just shooting for my travel channel...
