The last chance for Messi to win the world cup. Years from now, we will remember this player with nostalgia.

And yes,he won,won the trophy he was missing!
  • legit can't believe this man is 35 years old, what a performance, and of course I am expecting the haters to say Messi got lucky๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ’™

I am surprised how well Australia fought and played this World cup. They can go home being proud of what they did in this tournament.

Everyone is talking about Messi but huge respect for Julian Alvarez. The way he took the ball from the goal keeper and slotted it at the bottom corner was amazing and also Lisandro Martinez with the clutch save after such a great solo run from the Aussie Player (Sorry don't know the name) And that last minute save from Dibu was amazing!
  • Messi really proved that he is inevitable...Thanos level here...from the dribbling to the hard scoring...what a legend
  • The confidence in Messi always make me love him my best player so far

As an Australian, this was heartbreaking. Last time we were in the ro16 was in 2006 where we barely lost to Italy. I couldn't be more proud of this team, but I somehow feel hopeless at the same time. Australia will lift the world cup one day, in this life or the next ๐Ÿคฉ

Proof that Australia can play any sport well
  • I remember watching this as an Australian with my brother and dad and although I was a little bit sad, I was happy for Messi to make it through. It was a remarkable game for Messi and many Argentina fans
  • Lionel Messi is a lion after his prey once he grabs possession of the ball and there truly is no stopping him from scoring. The thrills he makes us experience are simply unique and hard to process, this man turns the impossible into possible effortlessly.Forever a legend. #10

Can't imagine world cup without the origin Argentinian flavour of football.. Just by the way, most of the Saudis, if not all of us, are La Albiceleste fans.

Rarely has the world witnessed such a humble man and yet so hungry to compete and leave it all on the field. Youโ€™ve been a role model without ever wanting to me one. Thank You for all the tears, itโ€™s all been worth it brother and Iโ€™m ready to cry more, hopefully tears of joy.
  • Lionel Messi always kicks the ball so smoothly past through all of the opponent players straight into the goal.
