mike i watched an episode of american trucker where a women drove a truck 4 western distributing in co.she hauled a load of potato chips over the mountians but the chips were in a reefer trailer.thats how they were kept from exploding, fun fact.

Good morning Mike. I would think that airplane potato chips would be fine because they’re in the pressurized cabin with the passengers. Just a thought. Have fun at the truck show.

First time I've heard a compression release in a long, long time! A sweet sound. P.S. Jersey Boy living in California for the last 50+ years. Love to see any B-61 Mack action you can record! First truck I ever drove around the yard at age 13 was a 1961 B-61 and I have vivid memories of the sounds, smells and feel!

Great stuff as always! I think KRAFT Marshmallows had to be hauled on the south route, too. Or the bags would pop open. There were 3 or 4 types of that freight MCT hauled like that. I forgot all about that until I saw this. You're AWESOME 👌. A Real YouTube Big Strapp'r would of said they drove over Donner Pass so fast the HIGH ALTITUDE Pressure didn't have time to ruin the load. Or that they had a trick to run with the back doors open to release the low pressure to the High pressure atmosphere...LOL! Peace & Grease!

Mike- Great story about the Kool-Whip. I have a couple of storys with Kool-Whip that I can't tell on this channel. Save the manuals, peace and grease. JM

I left trucking in 2007 after 30 years. I never even did logs that accurately reflected what I did. I merely did legal logs. 1 time in 30 years a Conn. Trooper got me at the barracks I think near Lyme? I forget. They had portables set up. I had been on vacation for 2 weeks and neglected to restart my logs... so I looked over 2 weeks behind. I drove from Jersey to Uncasville Conn. Swapped trailers and headed south... and wham... made me "sleep" for 8 hours... ruined my day. Love the old Autocar... I saw you messing around starting it... and I was thinking... compression reliese... compression reliese.... And there you go. Starting trucks in the cold used to be an art...

In the UK, with the guys I watch over there, the speed is limited to 56 mph on all trucks! Take care Mike. Todd the retired trucker.

I drive a 2016 Mack Pinnacle with a 10 speed. It's governed at 65 and a half, and it has moments that drive me crazy. Great video as always, stay safe and have a great week.

I grew up around coal trucks always thought I would drive one but the coal ran out so I had to do something else. Thus I have been a flight attendant 33 years so about the chips yes they do deflate sometimes on a plane. Some don't They are actually sealed pretty stout some older folks can't even open them we do it for them lol. Pilots have duty regs and long haul flights carry 3 pilots and they have bunks to sleep in on the planes we do as well. Love your content. Oh yeah I played LOAM in a word game and laughed!!
  • Good afternoon Mr Mike hope you and your family are well I always enjoy your video's man 👨 I have drove a few old Acar's that one is pretty sweet
  • Jets cabins are pressurized which allows you to breathe and keeps the chips from busting.
  • @daleyhanson5889
Mike,, governed at 68mph use to get me in some embarrassing situations ,,,,when you fall out to pass a refrigerated unit rig it was like you pulled a parachute and now your in the "hammer lane out of steam and the 4 wheelers have filled the slot and can't get back over,,,,
  • Love the to see the old trucks . After watching you clean it , it’s going to be a beautiful Sunday in Rhode Island , im going to make a Bloody Mary and detail the Tacoma 😅
  • afternoon Mike love the A- Car need to see the video of you grabbing gears 😎 stay dry pal been getting rain down here for the last 2 weeks hard to stay clean
  • The thing with the cool whip, and other sealed things going into elevation is true. I seen a video, I forgot who did it. Did an interview with the company Western Distribution, not Western Freight. Their based in Colorado. To haul thing that are pressure sensitive. The use refer trailers, not to cool the loade, but to pressurized the trailer so there's no issues. Same with the bags of chips on an airplane. The cabin is pressurized to prevent bags popping.
