You drew a correlation between the powers in JoJo and Hunter x Hunter, it just happens that the Author of HxH is a huge fan of JoJo and has referenced it numerous times in both manga and anime intro. Two of the newer nen abilities in the manga are basically exact copies of JoJo ones lmfao, but it's done in a cool way.

Also man, jojo openings go heavy on the symbolism and shoving as much of that seasons plot as possible, so for climactic episodes of each part, there is a special opening, that conveys magnitudes more hype when you understand the plot relevance man. Its a high i wish i could experience again for the first time.
