i love how well the art style change fits it just shows how detatched from reality ashfur is/was in his mind its the cartoon style but when reality hits its realistic its just a great detail

im actually going so fucking crazy at how good this is, i cant stop rewatching it. i genuinely did not expect the style change to realism and i LOVE how you draw the realistic cats!! there is emotion packed in every scene and perfectly depicts his wild delusions and seeing himself as the victim at the very end of it all; feeling as if he deserved to be in starclan and how the world turned against him when he was the one lashing out at everybody and attempting to ruin them. fav scene is so hard to choose bc literally everything is so perfect but ABSOLUTELY this one 0:32 . idk what it is but even in the cutesier style, it feels like this is how he imagines himself wanting to lash out at squirrelflight. his intentions to tear her heart out like she did his (in his eyes), to make her cry. or perhaps this did happen, but this whole sequence is like him centering it around HIMSELF feeling hurt and betrayed. plus at 0:50, i love how it looks like this was his start of descendance into a vengeful madness. this is so perfect tytyty for making this oh my god 💕💕

Didn't except the cutesy cartoon style to nail distress and psychosis, and the realistic style to be so expressive without stretching too much into cartoon. Simple but very effective.

The change in the art style makes me think of: The cartoon one is sort of like his way of talking and not really committing to any actions yet while the realistic one are the bad things he's done instead of words, or sort of the reality of it all
