Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in th

Even after nearly 55 years, the music STILL rocks! Led Zeppelin is a legend. I may be a '90s kid, but hearing songs from my parents' time is always far better than listening to today's music.

Led Zeppelin randomly dropping a whole album on youtube on some random Friday, we love to see it.

In the late 80s, I was a freshman in high school and started playing some of my dad’s vinyl. He died when I was 8. I spent the next 4 years engrossed in Zeppelin. About midway through college, I put it down as I had listened to it so much, I couldn’t anymore. I went down a lot of music rabbit holes in the following decade+, all kinds of directions. I would have never been that diverse of a music connoisseur had I not been prepared by the legends. Fast forward 30 years, and here I am again. Going all out. This time, I have teenagers and I’m sharing the love. Zeppelin is timeless, inexhaustible, deep, expansive, and a band for the ages. Sooo much love!

Good Times Bad Times has gotta be one of (if not) the best opening tracks of all time
  • @ow_oso
Nothing beats the first album’s raw, authentic sound (not to take away from any other album, this one just stands out to me) Just 4 young dudes tryna make it and playing like their lives depended on it. Will always be my favorite Zeppelin album😎
  • I have always been ASTOUNDED how Led Zeppelin arrived FULLY formed. From the first five seconds of Good Times Bad Times... they are Led Zeppelin. No finding their way, no searching for a sound. It arrives, fully formed, on the first album, recorded in no time with no resources. Like some kind of elemental emanation.
  • I have heard this album in every way: starting on cassette tape, then vinyl, then CD, then Mp3, now on YouTube, the common thing in everything is that it remains a magnificently beautiful album.

Greatest debut album of all time. Greatest band of all time

I took this album to school for show and tell in 2nd grade. It was new and the teacher let me play it for the class. About halfway through Whole Lotta Love, she picked up the needle and said that was enough.

I bought this album for my boyfriend in 69 when we were 16 and he loved it. I bought it again for him a few years ago.
  • When I bought and listened to this album I was 14.....today at 59 I still listen to it....one of my all time favorites! 😜
  • Page, Plant, Bonham and JPJ. These four formed the band that everyone else wanted to be ❤
