Always have Smart Coils Unplugged for any ignition events when not trying to start the car.
Always have a grounded spark plug installed.
Choose CDI over 8500 RPM or 25psi for reliability and clean power.

Honestly hadn't even thought about it for comp checks. Good to be aware of for sure.
