Randy Quaid added so much to the Vacation movies. I can't imagine these movies without Cousin Eddie.
  • Imogene Coca suffered a serious eye injury in a car accident in 1972 at 1:34 you notice it in her right eye.

Before Betty White there was Imogene Coca. RIP to two legends.
  • The burger shot after Edna announces their taking her to Phoenix was my favorite bit in this scene. Chevy always knew how to play physical comedy..

Love that scene with the kool aid, and Clarks reaction cracks me up every time.

40 yrs old and still hilarious as ever.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the same character that Randy Quaid played in Independence Day
  • @danbam3411
Basically Ellen is saying “Be nice, Clark. Remember, they’re poor”. Clark on the other hand is like “If they are poor then why did we come here?”

Aunt Edna was tough as nails, but Imogene Coca was not. She turned down this role at first because she thought she wouldn't be able to play a mean character. And even while they were making this movie, she was worried that she was being too mean to everyone. She was one lovely lady.

Watched this film this week. I had never seen it. I'm 29 YO. These old comedies did truly have charm.

I don't know why they call this stuff Hamburger Helper. It does just fine all by itself. Best line in the movie.

I don't care what anyone says, this first one will ALWAYS be the best in the franchise! The gags are superbly timed with a timeless script and solid performances, especially from the lead Chase.
