In this episode of TFBTV, @JamesReeves is at ZEV to talk about their newest prototype Glock 43X size pistol, the OZ(sc. This is - again - a prototype, but it will be a modular frame like it's big brother OZ9, and there's a good chance it will be designed around the Sig P365 series of magazines. Let ZEV know what you think in the comments!

“People love proprietary mags! And you could charge 70 dollars for them” 💀💀 James is so fucking funny
  • @Azureisfun
    “People love proprietary mags!”

Lmao love you James for always keeping it real.
  • @bigfootgoesboom
Props to James for roasting them about the possibility of proprietary mags
  • @powdernitz
glocks biggest failure right now is their inability to adapt to the mag updates. their 43x should be using their own OEM 15 rounders. but they're too stuck on polymer coated full metal lined double or single stack mags. if they lose that polymer coating, all of the sudden they can change their mag geometry and fit more rounds in the same size package. madness!

The tension between James and companies making dumb decisions is hilarious. If people would just listen to him their product would do good lol.

I guarantee zev will do a proprietary mag
  • @kulaid0
James is 100 percent correct Glock slide with sig mag I would buy in a heartbeat
  • @c0ldphuz10n
The PSA Micro Dagger mags have 15 round capacity for the 43x without the need to swap out to a metal mag release. Gucci tier and poverty tier combining powers could be sweet.
  • @Terron35
I think people would buy the crap out of this gun if it took 17rd P365 mags

    hot take:

as long as the feed lip geometry lines up, or even split the difference between the two mag types since the platform is chassis based. they could offer grip modules that would facilitate either mag type and present rounds to the feed ramp accordingly.

James is 100% right accepting sig mags would be so sick and fix the round count / shield arms mag dilemma.
  • @mikkxfit
Looks amazing so far. Fingers crossed on P365 magazines to fit in with their modularity aims.

The one I’ve been waiting for! Love my Zevs.

1:37 yea the NEW aluminum grip that they conned Icarus to make and design, then stole the idea from it and "made their own" and didn't credit them at all... 🤘🏼stoked
  • Pretty nice that the subcompact pistol has a rail for a light or laser plus red dot optic, although the projected price sounds like it may be steep. Thanks, James!
  • @ph00ny1
There seem to be some confusion. XL15 rounder is an extended mag on the 365/XL lineup. 15 round mag is nearly same length as 17 round mag at least on one side
Doing the XL 15 round mag will mean you can use the 12 round mags
  • Some older v1 zevs may have had some issues but the v2 is amazing. This looks like a really solid option.
