About Life Below Zero:
Life Below Zero follows six people as they battle for the most basic necessities in the state with the lowest population density in the United States. Living at the ends of the world's loneliest roads and subsisting off the rugged Alaskan bush, they battle whiteout snow storms, man-eating carnivores, questionable frozen terrain, and limited resources through a long and bitter winter. Some of them are lone wolves; others have their families beside them. All must overcome despairing odds to brave the wild and survive through to the spring. And when spring arrives in Alaska, rising temperatures bring mounting challenges as they work to prepare for yet another winter.

Stop feeding yourself (time and money) to people's systems AND greed. RIGHT ON!
  • The fact that we get free documentaries on YouTube by National Geographic is truly a gift. 👍

C $500-$1,000 compound bow + $5arrows($16 up there) for roosting grouse...? Hand made bow n arrows -.22 subsonic or air rifle or slingshot is far smarter...!
  • This is so disturbing. 1)if there is a road it's not "out there" 2)those pink boots are insane hunting gear.
  • Watching the Dad and his son having such an awesome relationship is great. What an amazing place to grow up.
  • Own everything, no bills, off grid is the way to go. Need to set traps, go fishing, hunting, foraging, cut firewood, store water, this is your new job. Spend the nice weather upgrading your cabin and surrounding area, do what you can to be prepared for the winter, and btw never wash off your eggs, they will last longer if you don't. Chickens, goats, and rabbit's are great for renewable food sources.

Enjoy while we can people, goverments and corperations will take everything over time. Unless we all stand and say enough is enough.

EVERYTHING YOU ARE SAYING IS 100 PERCENT TRUE AND RIGHT.
  • Good grief, where did some of these folks learn how to hunt? I pray they survive their schooling!

Jessi Morse and her hubby live in a $400K house in Fairbanks and just come on LBZ for 3 months to be famous. That's living in the wilderness
  • 2 things, 1. turn her knuckles 45 degrees off the bows handle, it will move her forearm out of the way, 2. get flu flu arrows for grouse
  • The folks hunting grouse with a bow is a joke. The cost of motorcycles, arrows, a bow, and gas and other equipment costs many times what store bought chicken or raising chickens costs. Practice with a bow and then go for the game
  • @Samhoxland
The couple with arrows is really bellow zero
  • @bgurtek
We have grouse, deer & bear in our front yard.

Michael Manzo makes me wish I was a young lady. He is handsome and I really enjoy watching his journey. I wish him many blessings. 💕 from a GGMA in Hatchechubbee, Alabama.

When I was young I wanted to live like this but it never happened due to money issues . Now 62 years old with type 2 diabetes not possible at all, If you are young and healthy with money you can live this life style but only up to 70 years old . You will see as you get old things will change in life your health your wealth and more. And death is a guarantee for us all no one can escape it we are only living existing here on earth for a short while.
  • $16 for an arrow, About a dollar for a 4-10 shell. Anyone else thinking along the same lines?
