"Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it" -Mike Tyson

Mad respect to Levy for calling them out. Kudos.
  • @Samyye12
Thank you levy for speaking up about this, the Internet really made people comfortable with insulting others without repercussions
  • @robm1392
Great respect to Levy for calling out misogyny and general abuse on the internet - good man!
  • @thisbethedave
Good on Levy for calling out the disgusting comments on the livestream. People need to be better
  • As a female chess player who watches your videos, I just want to thank you for addressing this topic and tell you that you are one of the main reasons that I love chess. Also, my respect for you (which was already incredibly high) just skyrocketed. Good luck on your road to becoming a grandmaster.

I feel like a student and Levy is the teacher saying “In my 40 years of teaching…” and I’m kind of scared.
  • @samiesta9996
I'm glad that rather than ignoring the comments Levy condemns those who ruined the livestream for everyone. The disrespect shown to his opponent and, through insinuations, Levy's wife were beyond disgusting.
  • As a female chess player myself I had to click off of the livestream when live because I was offended by the comments on your opponent. Those people are idiots who wrote those comments. Your opponent was very skilled and should not get any hate for just playing chess.
  • Thanks Levy. I have a 14-month-old daughter and I'd love to share this game with her one day, and I'm also terrified about how girls and women are treated in chess. We need your voice, and probably a lot more voices, speaking out.
  • Very good Levy, totally agree with you. Respect is fundamental over all! Good luck and blessings from Puerto Rico
  • @GMDennis
I met Levy today. reading chat ever made me feel second hand embarrassment like never before. Kudos Levy, see u at 9:30 tomorrow!
  • @MieWRLDD
thank you for speaking up for women in chess and in general, seeing it live was a little demotivating but seeing you directly adress this makes me honestly happy! ❤
  • @luke-bn2zu
People have been disrespectful to female chess players for too long, good on you for speaking out about it
  • I have never really understood the bias against and exclusion of women in chess. In my second chess tournament ever I lost to a girl who was the same age as me but obviously a lot stronger, being a 1600 elo player while I was only 1300 at the time. I thought nothing of it as she was obviously stronger than me, and probably even a little underrated. Chess is one of the most beautiful combinations of art and skill, and should be welcoming to all people.

Very honorable of Levy to educate the internet, who would have thought
