Uhm, you failed to mention the 1984 and 1994 AMAs, when Michael Jackson(1984) and Whitney Houston (1994) picked up 8 crystal pyramids in one night. Personally, the 1994 was my favorite, as I didn't see the 1984 one until recently. I remember as a 10 yr old staying up until 11:00 that night to see Whitney win. And where was the That's What Friends Are For performance at the 1987 AMAs? That was an awesome one, too, as was the Let It Be performance at the 1985 AMAs, the Beach Boys performance for the AMA Award of Merit in 1988, and Gloria Estefan's first performance after the bus accident in 1991. I didn't even see any older moments other than We Are The World in 1986 and Garth's rejection in 1996(which was shocking, but not surprising, considering the type of man Garth is)
